Okay so what does it cost?
There are different options available from a 1:8 equity share to a 1:20 share non-equity share, each group is self managed and maintained with a treasurer and maintenance person.
The share costs range from £2900 to £7000 there is a monthly fee of just £50 and an hourly rate including fuel at £40. (at Jan 2011)
All of the aircraft are fitted out to the same spec with panel radio and transponder mode S

Microlight Aircraft Shares...
As a student do I need a share?
No not at first, we can start your training on an aircraft without a share up to your solo stage (typically 15-20 hours) but you will need to commit to a share before flying solo, at this point you will know if you intend to continue and be ready to buy in anyway. You can buy in earlier if you wish making a small saving on training costs.
Can I sell my share?
Depending on what group you go into yes, in most cases where people have for various reasons had to sell their share they have recouped most of their investment. We offer a cheaper non equity share in one aircraft for those who perhaps do not want to commit to much money in the early stages and although there is a resale value here it will diminish over the first year, you will need to discuss this in more detail before you commit.

If you are an experienced pilot either with a JAR PPL or NPPL Microlight licence and would like to fly microlight's you will need to purchase a share. We do not hire out our aircraft.
Why have a share?
Well first there are some legal reasons and although there are now some hire routes available for microlights we have decided for now to remain with share options.
A share in a microlight will allow you good access to fly an expensive state of the art microlight whenever you want at a very reasonable cost, without the worry of sole ownership issues. We will take care of all the day to day stuff like maintenance etc. A dedicated bespoke on line booking system will allow you to book whenever you want.
Small groups of like minded people mean that you have good access and always know that the last person to fly was someone you know and trust.
Your share is an investment in an aircraft that perhaps would be otherwise out of reach.
